Happy Belated Valentine's to all, attached or not.
i hope you all had a wonderful day on the 14th.
note : actually i never really planned to blog about this (thanks to laziness). but since it's Saturday and i've got nothing to do.. so i shall dedicate my time to my bloggie.
i find this year's Valentine's Day pretty special. i'm not really sure why, but i just felt excited anticipating for the day to arrive.
our celebration was just the usual movie-and-lepak-around-shopping-mall thing. what to do, JB is really lacking of entertainment here! we watched What Women Want. a lovely movie.. and Gong Li is really pretty!
after spending more than 5 hours in the mall (and spending alot on the parking fee, diu lor parking rate also damn expensive), we head off to TGI Friday's. i actually made a reservation about 2 weeks ago when i met up with my SSU friends.
without further ado, let's have a look at the pictures.. which practically describes our night at the restaurant.
on a random note, i love their desserts man.
Baby impatiently waiting for me to finish snapping
the bouquet of 3 roses, which means "I Love You" <3>
Old Cow spent alot of time getting this bouquet. according to him, he went to many places to search for a bouquet with COW stuffed toys attached to it. unfortunately there weren't any, so this was the best he got. but not to worry, i still love them.. and him :)
camwhore <3
a balloon for me when we left. it deflated (not burst ah!) after a strong wind.
i still have the balloon with me. lol.
we got home and it was time to open up our presents!
i didn't get him anything for his birthday hence the additional gifts for V-Day :)
story time!
for the cross-stitch work, it took me more than 3 months to get it done. not easy you know, especially when your energy is drained out after you come back from work everyday. for the past 3 months, the earliest time i slept was 1am. but of course there were days where i did not cross-stitch.
another problem i faced was not being able to find a frame shop. i really got to thank my Assistant Manager for helping me to frame it. coincidentally her husband is doing framing business. she told me to pass it to her on the 12th but i still had alot of cover few days before that. i panicked. i was practically sewing the entire night.. and even on the 12th when we went to 拜年. i kept sewing and sewing at all houses. my colleagues and seniors were like "wahh.. 你很有心了". even the guys kept checking on my progress that day. LOL.
back to the 14th.
when Old Cow saw the wrapped frame, he said "confirm it's a picture of us one". once he opened it up then he was like "ehh since when you know how to cross-stitch?".
but i'm really glad that you like it Moo. the 3 months of sleepless night is really worth it.
and if you're wondering how did i learn this, i used to have Cooking/Sewing/Gardening classes back in primary school. private school ma, so definitely got extra classes like this *winks*
a memorable night for me. there are more to come, for sure! :)
