do you know how to breakdance?

NO.

But I do know how to break my back though. LOL.

If you're wondering why the sudden question, that is because I attended Radikal Forze 13th Anniversary BBoy Jam 2011 in Singapore recently. It was a 3 days event, but the Old Cow and I only went for the main event held on the second day (12th March) which was the 4 vs 4 Battle Tournament.

This is something new to me, as I have never really taken a interest in breakdancing before. But well, since the Old Cow is also a BBoy himself.. I might as well try to understand the dance better and who knows, I might learn to appreciate it myself.

Here are some of the shots taken during the tournament, not in any particular order. They aren't really good shots since my lens are just kit lens and the shutter speed isn't really that fast too. Well, this shows how fast those BBoys are in their dance. Don't believe? Go watch some of their videos in Youtube.

this is what we call "Cyphers", where people gather around in a circle while BBoys showcase their talents in the ring for few minutes. it's not a one-man show though. nanti kena halau. LOL.

at first i thought this kid here is a girl. seriously with that beanie on, even the Old Cow mistaken him for a girl. he's seriously good for his age, he's only 11! he can do headspin and all.. and he's super fit with 6 packs and all. everyone was cheering when it was his turn to perform.

HRC BBoys. nice towel.

Big Toe crew, from Vietnam.

this guy is cute. serious. but i don't even know his name. hope he doesn't chance upon this blog. *blush*

nah! it was pretty vulgar.. but it was all for show only.

in the end, friendship is still built after the battle is over.

Did I mention that BBoy Katsu accidentally kicked me? Well, he was one of the judges and they (Katsu and the rest of the judges) were asked to showcase their dance. Since it was so cramped (like seriously damn no space), he kicked me. I'm not sure whether I should feel honoured or not. HAHA.

If you don't know who he is, this is how he looks:

Go watch his videos in Youtube.

Anyway I attended Jay Chou's concert 2 weeks ago. Watched the Saturday concert. And it was SUPERBLY AWESOMEEEEE! His concert is worth watching I tell you. Unfortunately no pictures were taken as my battery was confiscated. Video-ing and photography wasn't allowed although many used their phones and compact cameras to snap.

Now I feel like getting his concert DVD. I miss his performances.. esp the 3D part! :D
