i just got back from Muar a couple of hours ago, and i just had this sudden urge to blog.
i wonder whether anyone still reads my blog. hmm.
so as i promised, it's time to reveal my new job.

yes, i'm now an Audit Assistant in Crowe Horwath (Muar branch).
i know many would be surprised to hear that Muar has such a big accounting firm. from what i was told by others, CH bought over the firm (known as S.C. Lim up to now). as for the rest of the story, you got to wait till i find out more.
i started work on the 15th, which means i'm done with 3 days of the week. and how do i feel about my job? honestly speaking, i feel kind of abandoned by the people there. they seem all friendly and cheerful to me based on my observation (talking and laughing together).. but perhaps they're not used to having a new colleague in their department. or maybe they're just shy?
on the first day, i had lunch alone. well, it was pretty expected actually.. but i was hoping that someone could just tell me that it's lunch time (since i don't know anything at all) instead of switching off the lights and going down straight, leaving me alone sitting at my table. it was my manager (who happened to pass by) who told me our lunch hour.
believe it or not, only ONE colleague has personally introduced herself to me. and she was the only one who asked me to join her and the rest for lunch. unfortunately at the makan table, she was the only one who actually spoke to me. the rest were busy talking away without even looking at me.
as for the job scope, i guess i need more time to absorb the audit system of this firm. there are some difference in their working papers and more time is needed to complete them. my previous firm's audit working papers are linked through formulas in MS Excel, but CH's working papers are not. in a way, it's actually a good thing since i'll be able to learn and understand the accounts better.
although i need time, i feel that i have to increase my learning speed. i'm still on probation anyway. for 3 months.
i'm not saying that this firm is bad. i'm satisfied with my work and it's only my 3rd day here. like what many have told me, i need some time to actually adapt to my environment. and hopefully, people will be willing to talk to me.. and accept me as a part of their family too :)
anyway if you've been following my FB updates, you'll notice that i've cut my hair SHORT. the reason behind this is that the ends of my hair are totally damaged and almost impossible to maintain it. so i decided to get rid of those ends and let my poor hair grow naturally again. guess i need a year for my long hair to come back.
hope my coming working days will be a good one *prays*
